Membership
The ACIJ supports and promotes independent journalism of the highest quality. We increase public access to independent journalism via publications in all media and public forums on issues of interest and importance to the public.
We encourage students, academics, media professionals and community members to participate in all activities, including the annual Public Right To Know Conference, the Wanda Jamrozik Award, and the George Munster Award for Independent Journalism.
Membership is $22 per year. UTS Faculty of Humanities students and staff (permanent, casual and adjunct) receive free membership on application, with students eligible for one year's free membership after graduation. Membership is only valid for the year you joined and needs to be renewed each year.
Members receive discounts on entry to ACIJ events, a 10% discount on all short courses, notification of seminars and other ACIJ events. Members will be eligible to apply for ACIJ research grants subject to the conditions of those grants.
